A marathon is not just 26.2 miles…

A marathon is not just 26.2 miles. It’s hundreds of miles accumulated in training. The finish is the last 26.2 miles!

I get it, I get that you have a goal and I get that you are a serious marathon runner putting the miles in to achieve this, but…

So many runners put so much expectation and pressure onto themselves that the training is no longer fun, and they feel like they are constantly chasing after the outcome they desire.

In my opinion, this type of energy and approach is not the healthy type.

It can leave you feeling like nothing is ever good enough or like a failure, which is hardly going to uplift and motivate you.

But let’s just pause for ONE moment here and detach from the outcome- those last 26.2 miles.

Are you showing up for the journey?

For the new skills you are developing?

For the growth you are going through as a person?

For becoming a better version of yourself?

For the inspiration you give to others?

This is the energy I’m talking about…

If you bring this energy and approach to training and life, this is when you can truly surpass your expectations and goals.

After-all, you don’t get in life what you want, you get in life what you are!

Want more of this energy?

Who the hell wouldn’t right!
